Conditions of Employment

I agree that should I accept employment with Scalawags Whitefish & Chips®, such employment shall be for no fixed or definite period and shall be subject to termination by either Scalawags Whitefish & Chips® or by me at any time, and shall be probationary for the first 90 days. 

I understand that no representative or agent of Scalawags Whitefish & Chips® has the authority to employ me for any definite period of time. I understand that Scalawags Whitefish & Chips® is a drug-free employer and may require drug testing for its employees. I also understand that failure to submit to a drug screening test when requested may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

I recognize that the independent franchisee alone will make all decisions concerning employment matters, including hiring, termination, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling. By applying for a job at a franchisee operated restaurant, I understand that the information I provide will be forwarded to the franchisee organization in order for that organization to reach out to me and process and evaluate my application. I acknowledge that Scalawags Franchise Systems, LLC. will not receive a copy of my employment application and will have no involvement in any employment decisions regarding me, including whether I receive an interview or whether I am hired to work for the franchisee. I understand that I need to contact the franchise organization that I am applying to, for information about their privacy practices.
